HALF-WAY TREE, Jamaica - The police are now combing sections of Half-Way Tree and making checks with hospitals in search of a robbery suspect who was shot by a licensed firearm holder while trying to make off with a stolen cell phone along Half-Way Tree Road.
HALF-WAY TREE, Jamaica - The police are now combing sections of Half-Way Tree and making checks with hospitals in search of a robbery suspect who was shot by a licensed firearm holder while trying to make off with a stolen cell phone along Half-Way Tree Road.
The police say earlier Tuesday evening, the suspect tried to get away after stealing the cell phone when he was shot. The thief reportedly dropped the cell phone and jumped into a nearby gully where he escaped. The police have reportedly searched the gully and the surrounding areas but have not found the suspect. There has been a long-standing problem of phone snatchers along Half-Way Tree especially at nightfall.
