We should be proud of all our athletes competing at the Olympics no matter the outcome of their race. Participation is not a free for all. Athletes have to hit the qualifying mark for their events to make the cut . . . and it's not easy! Those that attend on a universality invitation are selected by their national federation based on the strength of their regional and international competition performances and results throughout their sporting seasons. Taking part in the Olympics is more than just about winning or breaking records - "The creed, or guiding principle, of the modern Olympic Games is a quote by Baron Pierre de Coubertin: "The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well."

YOU GUYS NEED TO STOP USING THESE ATHLETES AS YOUR AIRLINE TICKETS.

YOU ALL NEED TO GIVE THEM THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED. MANY YEARS AGO T. SCOTT THE 8TH FASTEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD. WHAT DID YOU ALL DO TO HELP TAKE HER TO THE NEXT LEVEL? NOT A D*MN THING!!

THESE ATHLETES HAVE SHOWN THAT THEY HAVE THE TALENT TO MAKE IT TO THE THESE GAMES WITHOUT ANY REAL SUPPORT FROM YOUR BODY. I WILL LIKE TO SUGGEST THAT YOU ALL BECOME BETTER ADMINISTRATORS, AND GIVE THEM THE SUPPORT SO THAT THEY CAN BE SUCCESSFUL IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SPORTS.
