PE teacher Kendale P. Thomas deported to the USA!
Mr Thomas, who has been teaching Physical Education (PE) for some 6 years at the largest public secondary school in the Virgin Islands (VI) located on the main Island of Tortola, was picked up by police and immigration officials at his home in Fat Hogs Bay on the Eastern end of Tortola, according to police sources.
Mr Thomas was then placed on a Road Town Fast Ferry vessel that departed Road Town to St Thomas, USVI, for onwards destination to the US State of Denver, Colorado, according to police officers close to the matter.
When pressed by our newsroom as to under which law Mr Thomas was deported from the territory by the United Kingdom appointed Governor John S. Duncan OBE, we were told that it is a section of the Immigration Act (Sec 40) that allows the governor to deport persons who are deemed a threat to public safety.
Why was he deported to the USA?
With local law enforcement officials tight lipped about the matter, this news site’s well placed sources in the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington DC also confirmed the deportation and claimed that there was an open warrant for Mr Thomas’ arrest after he left Denver a few years ago.
While not wanting to go into full details on the phone, the source said Mr Thomas was allegedly caught up in a sting operation on a sensitive matter a few years ago and said he could not go into any further details, as there are “official channels to get information on these matters”.
He also confirmed that Mr Thomas had left the USA before the matter was resolved so his case file was opened.
Mr Thomas- a model citizen in the VI
Mr Thomas, who is originally from St Vincent and the Grenadines, lived with his father- a long time resident and businessman- on Tortola. Mr Thomas is also the father of a young daughter.
The former PE teacher has been praised by many of his peers, and students as a model resident and teacher. He has never been accused of committing any crime while residing in the Virgin Islands over the many years and has a clean police record, according to our sources close to the situation.
Many were shocked when around November of 2014 Mr Thomas received a letter from the Department of Education not renewing his teaching tenure at the High School and brought a premature end to his over 6 years plus teaching career in December of 2014. In addition, many of his fellow PE teachers complimented Mr Thomas for his dedication to duty and his love for sports, and young people, and for being humble and a team player.
Efforts by our newsroom to reach local officials, including the Ag Principal of the Elmore Stoutt High School Mrs Sandy M. Underhill, Ag Chief Immigration Officer Ian B. Penn and Governor of the Virgin Islands John S. Duncan, proved unsuccessful up to post time.

$w**ney was born rite here in Tortola so you figure out why he is able to stay in Tortola.
That is not true. Sw**ney was not born in the BVI. He is Guyanese.
Ok J...n. If you pat yourself on the back any harder you will cough. Smh!
Customs/Immigration needs a revamping and updating with modern technology.
Our safety depends on it.
Secondly, we would love to be surrounded by sinless people but he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Not condoning what he may have done but let us get the facts first before we crucify him.
he is he is but nice people could do stuff
I tired a hearing you all like Bob is some god. The whole family was living like king and queen while we poor people worked hard for the little we have. Greed got his nephew lock up in Puuerto Rico right now. I just hope the governor do the right thing.
It have few more up there in that school under investigation. The former CIO pull up a lot of things but..I'll say no more..the present one does not have the 1ntel..... to find out these things...I fear for our boarders.
So this is the example of a professional teacher we have in the High School. Am looking at the presentation out look of this guy. OMG. no wonder why the school is in such a state of disrespect.
First of all that's old picture from When he lived in Colorado. Since when do we judge a book by its cover, what does disrespect in the schools have to do with someone's presentation, anyone who knows him, do not know him the way he look in the above picture. The ignorance of some people. Smdh!
THIS IS SERIOUS , WE IGNORE THINGS WE KNOW ABOUT PEOPLE AND PLACE THEM IN POSITION TO INFLUENCE THE YOUTHS. SAD DAY, THOMAS IS A NICE FELLOW THOUGH I MET HIM AND SOFT SPOKEN AND KIND
Don't be quick to judge. The people who know Thomas are saying the same thing. He is a good man and a very good teacher.
Hear a man in prison crying like a baby…how could we allow this to happen????
I do not understand why they fighting for....wrong is wrong
How does the government allow one in to live / work without an in depth background check is beyond me.
How come they do not vet some criminals who run from what they run from then come to the BVI and get big jobs and act like here belongs to them. I bet u aint going to hear about those when them same Governors protecting them.
I don't ever want to do PE again
