ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- He touched the lives of many while alive and even while he is gone, Raequan M. Roberts continues to make a positive impact through his family and friends.

On June 12, 2020, a donation to the Rainbow Children’s Home was made in honour of Mr Roberts, who died in a road accident on August 5, 2019.

The donation, which was sponsored by Mr Roberts’ mom, Marsha S. Wheatley; his sister Brijhana Wheatley and his friend and former teacher Hon Sharie B. DeCastro, the Junior Minister for Tourism, coincided with the day Mr Roberts was born.

According to the family, Raequan was unable to complete his Computer Engineering and Technology degree due to a tragic car accident and that in his short life, Raequan touched the lives and warmed the hearts of many. “He was a true blessing – a light in a world of darkness.”

Mr Roberts would have been 23 years of age on June 12, 2020.

“Today, on his 23rd birthday, we have united to let his light continue to shine by blessing someone else and to PAY IT FORWARD by giving the children of the Rainbow Children’s Home a better opportunity to excel.

“We present this computer, printer and computer accessories to the children to the Rainbow Children’s Home,” the family said.

Very touching. Thank you to the friends and family of the young man for making such a positive contribution to the community in his honour. I pray that your hearts are forever comforted and that his spirit will continue to live on in the kindness you have displayed, that some one of the children who is less fortunate can now aspire to complete the dreams that the young man started.. God bless you all.
