ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The fear expressed by many that Cane Garden Bay's events of last evening, June 14, 2019, would have pulled to plug on the Soca Wee Fete was allayed from early in the night.

With hundreds purchasing VIP tickets for the anticipated biggest stage show to grace the shores of the Virgin Islands (VI), the 'Buju Long Walk to Freedom Concert,' those tickets gave free access to the last night's meet and greet event for Buju Banton and all the international artists in Cane Garden Bay.

Persons without the class ticket could have paid $20 to enter and it was feared that would have placed a damper on any other paid event on Tortola, but that was definitely not the case.

Soca Wee a success

The first annual Soca Wee event of Raw Promotion was nothing less of a hit seeing the fenced section of the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park packed to capacity and its featured guest artist Patrice Roberts delivering on stage and on the ground, amongst fans.

Speaking with Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) shortly after her performance Roberts said, "I am happy I made it to Tortola, my fans were awesome, everyone was awesome a real lively party crowd."

Also performing last night was Adam O who also had the full heart of the crowd along with Deejays Dre and Malie who had the music on full blast.

With 2019 going down as a success, promoters are already planning for an even bigger Soca Wee for 2020.

cant all of the producers unite and create a calendar of events: one weekend fill with events then the upcoming weekend no events: I personally no longer handout(2 old) just a suggestion: I guess it is nice to have choices: six of one: half dozen of the other(u love reggae/I love calypso)......

Happy to hear it was peaceful and a success. Tonight I am hoping for the same thing with Buju. One love people.
