Pastor allegedly dupes family of land on VG
According to information reaching Virgin Islands News Online (VINO), the matter escalated on Thursday, September 10, 2020, when the pastor proceeded to block access to the family’s property with large rocks and soil and the family retaliated by gathering to stop the works.
‘Not fighting for land’
“They are not fighting for the land. They don’t want him [pastor] to think that they are fighting him for no land, because at the end of the day we all going to leave the land behind.
“The only thing they are fighting for is to get access to get in and out of the property, that’s all,” a source close to the beleaguered family told Virgin Islands News Online.
The source said the property being denied access to by the pastor has tenants. “He took rocks and soil and block in everybody, nobody can get in and out,” the source said.
Betrayal
Our newsroom was told that the matriarch of the family had sought to get the land- occupied for over 76 plus years and left by her deceased father- transferred to her and her siblings and had confided in the pastor to get it done. Instead the pastor allegedly took advantage of the woman’s inability to comprehend and instead betrayed the family who trusted and sought to believe the pastor had their best interest at heart.
The woman, who made the mistake of confiding in the pastor while excluding other family members in the process, was also on the scene and cried bitterly at the situation and betrayal by the pastor.
The source said lawyers have told the family they could challenge the matter in court but it would cost a lot of money which the family does not have.
Standoff
“So what they had to do this morning [September 10, 2020] was to block off all the work from happening so there was not trucks or anything to come in to dump all their rocks unless he agrees to give them at least 16ft of easement from the boundary to get in and out of the property.”
According to the source, a survey was done through lands and the boundary moved without permission. “So right now their lawyer told them block them off until and fight this battle back in court just to get an easement.”
The source said family members are disappointed that a so called pastor and man of God would do such a wicked act.
Our newsroom was told that police also showed up at the standoff on Thursday and the pastor told the police he would allow the easement of 16 feet.
The source said they do not trust the pastor as he is already complaining that 16 feet is too much land to give up. They said even the pastor’s brother has tried to convince him to allow the easement.
According to the source, the family will continue court proceedings to get an easement and “accurate and rightful boundary”.
They have been given temporary access in the meantime.
The pastor in question did not immediately respond to our request for comments.
Elected Reps aware of matter
Virgin Gordian and At Large Member and Junior Minister for Trade and Investment Promotion, Hon Shereen P. Flax-Charles said she was aware of the dispute but noted it is a matter for Land Registry and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Representative for the Ninth District and Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration, Hon Vincent O. Wheatley only said “this is a court matter at this time.”

These pastors are not doing anything for us but taking out money, they rarely give back, they just take advantage of the people who are looking for Yah
All pastors are not alike but most of them needs to practice what they preach and this world will be a much better place. Just remember that God doesn't sleep at no time so be very careful how you live your life and treat people.
People always carry bad news and spread it but the truth don't really get spread as people don't want to hear it.

Why isn't this family protected from this wicked, unscrupulous, corrupt thieving pastor? If this pastor used the intellectual inadequacy of this family to steal their land, then there should be some reprieve for them to recover their land, because it was taken under egregious and pretentious circumstances. That thieving a** unethical devil pastor should be made to give the family back their land. Or if they have to take this moron to court I will personally spearhead a GoFundMe to help with court costs. Make this thieving unethical pastor identity public, to protect others from this so called pastor underlying evil actions.
Shocked that the Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration has NOT created mounds of Paperwork and miles of Red Tape to deal with this situation. He must not be feeling himself.
I’m not totally sorry though, to many families rather see each other suffering rather than doing what is right. The courts are fill with many land disputes. Families not speaking to each other over land. Some able to use it advance self while blocking others from it. This story very popular among families here and around the world.
@Well ash: What you expect the reps to do? Whichever side they pick, someone will feel offended and be up and down bad talking them. They cannot win even for loosing. The pastor needs to DO the RIGHT THING. He the only one that can put a stop to this.

Now I did went to school with pastor.. he was a privilege kid who had all he needed back at school days.. Made me think later in life, why did he want to sling rocks? I have a problem hearing one who is more political activist than priest and continually blasts the very mouth that feeds them. Then there are some who testify by day and when dark night shut in it’s another story. And now along comes this trickster who allegedly took advantage of someone they should have been helping.

How can life as a pastor lead you to the same unfortunate end as a dirty street rat criminal, alone and afraid in your final moments with nothing but regrets and fear. Peeing and $hitting yourself in the dark, in a puddle. Think about who you will leave behind. Is it worth it? Have you really done all you wanted in this life or is there more you want to accomplish? Can your wife raise ** kids and still fulfill your dreams alone? If so, Continue. Til Death do us part.
Goes round comes round. Fix this now pastor and reverse this deal. And give back the land. Am sure you will still have your other businesses-/ interests to fall back on.. You still better off than a lot of ppl in VG so look, stop the fuss.
I can assure you that God has already judged the pastor and any member who joins with him will also experience the judgement of God. Not only on you, but you children and your children's children. God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap. I call on the judgement of God to fall immediately on this situation. This is bringing shame to our God and whosoever must be made an example so we can see that God is not our playmate. What He God says He means. Time for repentance or destruction. Anything ill-gotten is a curse and could never be affiliated with God. Do the right thing NOW before it's too late.
