Party store ‘Pink Bliss BVI’ opens for business in Fish Bay
Pink Bliss BVI is the fresh new party palace that has just opened its doors to the public, catering to your cravings for transforming your occasion into one to remember.
The business is owned by 25-year-old Rashada C. Robinson of Free Bottom.
Turning her dream into a reality
“We cater to a wide variety of people who want to plan parties; for those who want to spice up their party life,” Robinson told Virgin Islands News Online in an exclusive interview on Tuesday February 28, 2017.
“I always dreamed of having my own business and I thought really and truly, what do I want to do? And then I thought of the candy section, I want to do definitely, then I thought about what about the art and craft section? And then I added the party supply section because I wanted to be the person to be behind the scenes to create the party,” she continued.
“We realise that there are a lot of people out there that are hosting parties, so why not be the supplier for them? So they can stop ordering from away and online and pay the expensive shipping cost and provide the party supplies for them at a reasonable cost. So it just tied into everything that we wanted.”
Business offering
Pink Bliss BVI stocks a wide array of plain and character party supplies, from the table cloth to the party plates, to the napkins, the cups, among others. They are also huge on the Hawaiian and Mardi Gras themes with hula skirts for the adults and children, hula décor, Mardi Gras beads, table covers and the whole party works.
An art and craft section is also available for the Do It Yourself (DIY) projects at home and offers items such as beads, gemstones, paints, foam sheets, Styrofoam shapes, party games, such as Russian Roulette and mini dark games and a candy section.
In the coming months, the variety is slated for expansion.
“We have a lot in store for the people, it is our little start but definitely not the end for us and we have a lot in store, so we want everybody to stay connected to us,” Robinson remarked.
A website is also in the making and is scheduled to be launched next month, where persons can log on and place orders. For those on the sister islands, their items ordered will be placed on the ferry.
Don’t give up
As a young entrepreneur, Robinson had her challenges getting her business up and running but said she never gave up.
She wants persons to also have that same determined spirit and never give up on their dreams.
“Do not give up,” she pointed out. “There were times when I really wanted to give up, I have cried literal tears, I’ve cried many nights, but you have to remain faithful to God and all things are possible. If he is not in the midst, it will never be possible so you always have to remain conscious of that, always give him his praises when they are due and they are always due.
“Keep pushing,” Robinson stated, adding that “I am not where I want to be and I see room for improvement but I am very thankful for what I have accomplished so far, as a young person.”
