Parsons congratulates Hon Skelton for ‘allowing’ RTO to speak
She was one of the panellists on the latest edition of NDP Radio, heard on Monday evening April 20, 2015 on Radio ZBVI 780 AM.
With her on the programme also were Premier Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith, Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Mark H. Vanterpool and Representative for the Eighth District Honourable Marlon A. Penn.
“Honourable Skelton, congratulations for your largeness of heart, for your foresight in making certain that the Representative of the District was there and was allowed to say something and I think you are to be congratulated,” said Mrs Parsons.
In response, Honourable Skelton said he did not believe that his colleagues would have done differently.
“I don’t think that they would do anything differently. We were doing something significant in his district…it is only right to invite him to say what needs to be said. I am sure he is proud that we have chosen a contractor who could get things done…I am sure that he won’t disappoint any of us,” said Honourable Skelton.
Honourable O'Neal, speaking at the ground breaking ceremony on March 30, 2015, expressed gratitude for the efforts of government.
"I wish to thank the Ministers and the Cabinet and the National Assembly for seeing that this Medical Centre, that seems to be an American term now, is now going to be established here and I know from what I know of the contractor it will be done on time and people will be satisfied with the work," he said.
Many residents of Virgin Gorda were hanging on to the campaign promise of the NDP that they would have been getting a fully equipped hospital whose services would have been on par with Peebles Hospital, even though it would be a smaller facility.

Leave Ms. P alone. She is one of our original Virgin Island families and a stalwart in VI culture and we sticking together, so when you start to cuss she, cuss all the Virgin Islanders who do use the same words or who find the choicest words for the occasion. Plus there is nothing called bad words. They are adjectives to rightly describe a situation faced that warrants those words. As long as the message is received by the receiver, the words were well used. Ask Prof. Beckles at UWI. All you go sit down with all your p*ss like all you righteous. There is non; NO NOT ONE.
Get over yourself.
