DUFFS BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- Urging the Territory to stay prayed up, Sixth District Representative Honourable Alvera Maduro-Caines has said the Territory needs to be saturated with prayers as only God can help the Virgin Islands out of its present situation brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Referring to 2 Chronicles 7:14, Hon Maduro- Caines said “our land” is in much need of healing right now so “I am asking everybody to saturate this place with prayer.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 states: ‘If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.’

“Only God can deliver us from what we are going through now,” the newest member of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) said during the Seventh Sitting of the Second session of the Fourth House of Assembly (HoA) held at Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duffs Bottom on Friday, April 17, 2020.

She also said persons needed to make prayers for the Territory a part of their everyday life, “not just when a situation like this happen, we get on our faces and ask God to forgive us but do we really mean it and when it is over we somehow venture back into our same old wicked ways, same old puffed up ways.”

The third term female legislator said the wavering in faith has to stop for God is a jealous God.

Meanwhile, the Government of the Virgin Islands has been holding regular prayers of repentance on radio on Sundays, where the public is able to call in to offer their prayers for the Territory.

I concur that we need to stay prayed up. However, no amount of prayers will work when our WORDS are negative and the hearts of men and women are bitter. It is all a mockery.

In addition, it is great to repent. But note that God has a day reserved for judgment and all the repenting has brought us to the point that we are looking for things to repent about does not please God. It is a public display that the Scripture is not understood or understood a little.

STAY positive, stop the FEAR and stop oppressing the poor and things will change. We have a short time left before ease comes, but it will come, and if it tarries it wll come. God is faithful.

If all yo please, cause my prayer not working. Pray for water to flow out of the water pipes down West. A pandemic and us toxic smoke inhalants of the incinerator cannot be gifted with regular and reliable flowing water. Tis nasty and degrading to be rinsing out your parts from a bucket and while your garden sadly drooping. Flowers wont even smile...Amen

Pray all you like, but I think actually it would be more accurate to say that the land is in much need of feeding.

Do you think “fiction” created this mess we are facing nick??! When the problem is bigger than man you must have someone bigger to call on for help. And no, “fiction” did not create the universe neither did science.

When we are able to stand up to anyone regardless of Nationality, relation, Social or Political, Ethnicity, Religion, geographical location tell them they are WRONG when they are and to support these same people when they RIGHT, we are on our way to be healed.

Let us prayer for the healing of the land that our leaders would stop playing politics with us, let every spirit of witchcraft be expose for all to see that the nation may fear the God of creation and grace , love, peace, joy, may prevail in the land with financial miracles even to the point where the government will reconsider and removal of the 7% tax on the expats. Let us pray that the powers that be be understand that covid 19 is not the problem but how we approach that makes it the problem so ask for the wisdom tp deal with it. I pray for good health and prosperity for one and all that there be no less fortunate person in the BVI but everyone's cup will run over as it is written in the book of psalms 23.this things i ask for and more in Jesus name. Amen and Amen.
