MANUEL POINT, Sea Cows Bay, Tortola, VI- Today, January 21, 2017 while our roving camera was heading West around 2:00 P.M., we observed a small SUV stuck on a steep hill in the Manuel Point area of Sea Cow's Bay, on the main island of Tortola.

It was not immediately known who was the driver or how the vehicle, which appears to be stuck at the location and jammed to the existing retaining wall, ended up there.

The white SUV with rental plate RT 2019 appears at this time to be abandoned on the public road. It is unclear also if the location of the SUV will cause it to impede the traffic flow on the already narrow and steep road.

Over the last few months the Virgin Islands has been rocked by many accidents, including involving motor scooters, causing death and thousands in damages.

Value for money?

There is also an ongoing debate as to the quality of the roads, both main and secondary, and the issue of value for money spent by the Minister for Communications and Works Hon Mark H. Vanterpool (R4) on the public roads.

Hon Vanterpool announced recently that he spent some $12.3M on road upgrades.
