JOES HILL, Tortola, VI – Sometime last evening, Friday, April 26, 2019, a vehicle overturned at the bottom of Joes Hill in Tortola, Virgin Islands (VI).

The details of what happened and how it happened are sketchy and our newsroom is unclear whether or not there were injuries.

Over the years, the Joes Hill road has become the scene of minor accidents for drivers in the territory with vehicles overturning in the past and even hitting the curb on the side of the hill.

Virgin Islands News Online will bring more information once it becomes available.

Go back to 1982. One of our telephone vehicles went over the side of the hill, down more than 200ft, before hitting a tree, which impaled our driver and killed him.

NO... This one was actually drunk. Passed me like a bat out of hell coming down hill. When I saw the vehicle at the bottom of the hill, I instantly knew it was the A$$ that passed me so stupidly and carelessly. endangering people lives with their dumb intoxicated driving. Glad no one was hurt including the driver...…….
