FRENCH TOWN, St Thomas, USVI- Currently the sea lanes in the Virgin Islands waters are packed with boats, people and cameras while a few helicopters and drones follow the action over head, but a wrecker truck being used as a hauler to launch a boat got some attention.

It our understanding that the incident happened yesterday May 27, 2017 in French Town, St Thomas, USVI, at the boat ramp when a power boat owner was putting his craft in the water to participate in the 2017 Leverick Bay, Virgin Gorda Annual Poker Run.

It is believed that the wrecker truck went too far out in the water at the ramp. Or perhaps the truck was unwilling to separate itself from the stunning power boat it was carrying, so it had to make it clear that it can do the poker run too!

While it is unclear how the wrecker truck that was being used as a boat hauler was recovered from the sea water, it was not spotted anywhere today as part of the fleet of power boats and big yachts that have journeyed up from the United States Virgin Islands.
