SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- It was around 1:00 PM today May 16, 2017 that a government bus, GV 0570, which is assigned to the Adina Donovan Home for The Elderly had a flat in Sea Cows Bay, on the main island of Tortola.

The government passenger bus was at the time driving students from the Autism Centre.

However, quick action by the staff led to the call for another bus to transport the children to return them to the centre while the Public Works Department was on its way to take care of the repairs.

No elders were on the bus at the time and the staff on board skillfully directed the passengers form the ‘flat bus’ to the other.

All in all it's just another day in the life of the students, and another dilapidated government vehicle crying out for proper maintenance.

The Senior Bus was bringing the BVI Services Clients back to town after their Swimming Lessons at Nanny Cay Pool, where they had finished, had their snacks and relaxed after swimming and jumping. So sorry they had a flat, but it i also sad they don't have their own bus so they could do different thing here and there...I am glad it all worked out and how grateful for cell phones, and all is well for them. Very sincerely, Ann Gardner
