One taken to hospital as Jeep overturns on Fish Bay hill

FISH BAY, Tortola, VI- One person was taken to hospital after a pink Jeep ended up on its side while negotiating a hill at Fish Bay on the main island of Tortola this afternoon, May 10, 2015.

It is not clear, however, what were the circumstances surrounding the accident which occurred sometime around 4:20pm.

The vehicle ended up on one end of the road on its right side. From all appearances, it may have been headed in an easterly direction.

It is also not clear how many persons were in the vehicle at the time of the accident but, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton, "one person was taken to hospital".

    Hope the driver didn`t had to negotiate more than the hill and not also one of those crazy moped drivers. Hope the driver is ok.

    It had just rained so the road was slippery and this person allegedly took the corner so fast that they slid off the road and climbed the hill.
