ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Old Madrid Masters will be hosting their third Annual Invitational Masters Football Tournament from October 18 – 19, 2014 and looking to win back the Crown claimed by St Maarten Veterans in 2013.

The Tournament, with Matches scheduled for either the A.O. Shirley Ground or Greenland’s Playing Field, will all played under FIFA rules and participation per team will be $300, including the Tournament “T” shirt.

Depending on the final amount of entrants the format will be round robin or zonal, with each game being 25 minute half’s and teams are allowed an unlimited amount of substitutions.

Players must be at least 40 when the Tournament begins although teams are allowed to players who are 36-39.

As hosts the Old Madrid Masters will award Trophies, Medals, Team Awards as well as Individual Awards for the Most Valuable Player, the Golden Boot, Best Goalkeeper and many others.

A goalless draw with the Combined Stars from Virgin Gorda was enough to give St Martin Veterans first place in the Annual Old Madrid Masters Invitational Football Tournament last year at the Greenland’s Field in East End.

St Martin had come with a single purpose of reclaiming their crown as Champions of Masters Football in the region, after giving-up their title to the BVI’s Old Madrid Masters in St. Martin earlier this year and their quest proved successful largely due to the scoring prowess of l tournament MVP and Golden Boots co-awardee Norman Lake, as they remained undefeated throughout the tournament.

Teams have until September the 30th, 2014, to register, either via email to Humphrey.leue@gmail.com or via Fax to 1 888 813 8529.
