While NJAR feels the love and support from his fellow Virgin Islanders, he said that he is finding other ways to give back to the community and, in this instance, for every tape sold he is dedicating $1.00 to go towards the Family Support Network (FSN).

Copies of the new mixed tape can be obtained from Sasha D. A. Flax on Virgin Gorda, Body Glam on Tortola Pier Park, J and C Department and Variety Electronics Stores in Road Town.

About NJAR

NJAR told this news site that as a child his father always listened to Zouk and Soca music, and those were the types of music he grew up on, but never really favoured them. He added that at the age of 17, he started listening to Hip Hop and instantly fell in love with the genre.

According to NJAR, his career in music officially started while hanging out with a friend and he decided to write his own piece, which resulted in positive feedback, where people told him that he sounded good and should continue.

Through that feedback, he was able to channel that positive energy into producing his first mixed tape entitled ‘Not just another rapper’, which was released in March 2012, and consisted of his hit song, ‘Good Girl’ and many others.

‘Not just another rapper’ is not only the name of his first mix tape but is abbreviated as his stage name, ‘NJAR’.

They need to be there so that it balance out or out do all the negative stuff in the country. If we continue to show only the negative stuff and non of the brightness and inspiration we are known for then we will be perceive as being negative and bad indeed.
