ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Virgin Islands’ rapper NJAR (Not Just Another Rapper) is taking his music to another stage- Jamaica- as he has linked up with popular Jamaican artiste Collin D. Edwards, better known as Demarco, for the remix of his latest single ‘See Flowers’.

‘See Flowers’, according to NJAR, is about appreciating the people and the things you love while you can. “Life is way too short to put things off for tomorrow not knowing how the following day will play out. Make use of every second you have on this earth and live life with no regrets because at any given time your number can be called.”

VI-Jamaica link-up

For the powerful remix, NJAR also hooked up with Virgin Islanders- Ishika Charles and Eighty8- and combines them with the dancehall superstar out of Jamaica, Demarco. To make the track even more powerful, NJAR reconnects with one of the most recognised guitarists in the Caribbean, Eon Jarvs.

Speaking to Virgin Islands News Online, NJAR said the initial response to his latest release has been “great.”

“The love See Flowers has received from my core target demographic has been really amazing. I felt like they embraced the song from day one, automatically connecting to the lyrics. With the addition of Ishika Charles and Demarco on the remix, I'm looking forward for an even bigger response from my supporters and all the new ones I hope to gain," NJAR said.

The young evolutionary rapper also singled out the help and support he has received from Jamaicans living in the Virgin Islands as a major factor in the evolution of his craft.

"The Jamaican community in the Virgin Islands has been a tremendous blessing for me as an up-and-coming artiste-songwriter. The encouragement has helped overcome many challenges thus far in music, and at this stage, I feel comfortable trying to make a splash in Jamaica with my music," he said.

NJAR has already opened for Jamaican acts like Peter Morgan, Dexta Dapps and Popcaan.

Among the persons NJAR thanked for contributing to the record are D. Fahie (Executive Producer) Roshan Meade (Executive Producer), Diction (Song Writer), Raul “Jugo” Sprauve and Brent Hoyte of Homegrown Studios (Mixed & Mastered).
