ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – JG Black Book (JGBB), an international marketing firm specialising in travel, tourism, and luxury lifestyle brands is promoting the British Virgin Islands to travellers based in Brazil and Argentina via strategic integrated marketing as well as trade and media relations.

Promotions began 1 September 2013 with the firm also being named by the BVI Tourist Board as the agency of record for trade and public relations services in key South American markets.

“Latin America, in particular Brazil, is an emerging market on a global stage, especially within the travel and tourism space and its expanding markets and strong growth in outbound tourism represent a huge opportunity for the British Virgin Islands. We are honoured to become an extension of the British Virgin Islands and will take a proactive role to launch forward-thinking campaigns, ultimately gaining the destination exposure within this important demographic,” said Jena Gardner, president and chief executive officer of JG Black Book.

Premier and Minister of BVI Tourism the Honorable Dr. D. Orlando Smith noted the importance of increasing its presence in the South American market, saying, “As part of our global tourism strategy, we are expanding into new and emerging markets. One such market is Brazil. Brazil presents considerable opportunity for the BVI. It also gives a platform to launch initiatives in additional Latin American countries such as Argentina and Chile.”
