ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- NAGICO has again driven home their point of what a good corporate citizen is as it has donated a brand new vehicle to the Adina Donovan Home as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.

The presentation was made today March 16, 2012 in the compound of the St. Williams Catholic Church in Road Town in the presence of Minister of Health and Social Development Hon. Ronnie Skelton, 6th District Representative Hon. Alvera Maduro Caines and At Large Representative Hon. Archibald Christian.

Hon. Skelton expressed appreciation on behalf of Government and the people of the Virgin Islands and encouraged others to follow NAGICO’s example.“We encourage this kind of donation to the health care system, to education, sports and development of young people in this country. So we would like to see more individuals or more businesses in this country make donations, not in terms of money but in terms of things that are needed, to help these institutions and organisations to operate. So we appreciate this and on behalf of Government and the people of the Virgin Islands we are thankful to NAGICO for making this contribution to the Adina Donovan Home.

Managing Director of NAGICO, Shan Mohammed, said the company is celebrating its 30th anniversary and felt that it was the opportune time to make the presentation. “In 2004 we presented a vehicle to the Adina Donovan Home and we felt it was the right time to do so again. The vehicle is now eight years old and it is about that time we would change our vehicle and we are quite pleased to do so again.

The vehicle is a KIA Sportage that retails at $26, 900. “It’s a fantastic vehicle and we were quite pleased when we approached International Motors they were kind enough to set it aside for us and give us some discounts so we want to thank them for supporting the cause as well,” Mohammed added.

Mr. Mohammed do not mind the chatter, they have not made any contribution to the bvi beside paying a little tax and social security. Nagico under your leadership has been making positive contributions and continue to do so without due regard to negative views of the non contributors. Go Nagico, we are grateful for your many contributions to our blessed islands ending with this latest car today!
