Owners looking forward to great results

Co-owner of L & B Racing Stables Violet ‘Letty’ Hodge said that her horse Bitter Sweet Dream is ready for her event.

“Since it doesn’t have any mare races in her class we just decided to put her in that race,” said Hodge in a comment to this news site yesterday September 29, 2015.

“As for my expectations, she has been doing pretty well and as always you never put a horse in a race and you don’t think you might win. So I think she has a good chance,” said Hodge.

Alex V. Lake was asked about the preparedness of My Pal Shawn and Trading Secrets. “They are preparing wonderfully to run an excellent race,” he responded. “I expect to be in the Winners’ Circle two times for that day,” he said, expressing confidence in the ability of his horses.

A day of speed and endurance

In a comment, Public Relations Officer of the BVI Horse Owners’ Association Esther N. Fraser said it will be a day charged with speed and tested by endurance.

"The BVI Horse Owners’ Association is excited to present the BVI October Horse Races with presenting sponsor CCT. Races will be held at Ellis Thomas Downs Racetrack on October 4, 2015. Admission is $12.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Children. At 2:00PM the first of five races will debut Dramcidel and Motion for Appeal, both of Case Closed Stables (BVI). Look forward to a day charged with speed and tested by endurance. My Pal Shawn takes on Star Ship Titan and Wrol Up at a distance of 6 1/2 furlongs in the feature race, sponsored by Honourable Alvera Maduro-Caines.
