Ms. Tasha Bertie Is Government Of The Virgin Islands’ 2013 Employee Of The Year

ROAD TOWN, Tortola VI - The Government of the Virgin Islands congratulates the 2013 Employee of the Year Ms. Tasha Bertie. Ms. Bertie was presented as the Government’s 2013 Employee of the Year on March 27 during an official ceremony held at Maria’s By the Sea Resort and Restaurant.

Among well-wishers and public officers from all levels were His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Boyd McCleary, CMG, CVO, Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Hon. D. Orlando Smith, OBE, House of Assembly Member and First District Representative Hon. Andrew Fahie, and Permanent Secretary, Deputy Governor’s Office Mr. David Archer.

Ms. Bertie, who is now a Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Social Development, received the award of Employee of the Second Quarter for the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2013. The talented Public Officer has been described as a “team player and a person that can be relied upon to assist both customers and co-workers alike. She is a committed and dedicated Public Officer.”

The Employee of the Year programme was implemented to recognise the top employee from those employees recognised as Employees of the Quarter for that year. The first employee of the year ceremony was held in 2006.
