WICKHAM’S CAY II, Tortola, VI – “I was not expecting this, I do what I do because I see the need for [it] and this is my way in contributing to something that is well needed in our society today, I do not look forward for awards, my blessings come from God, I really wasn’t expecting this,” said Ms. Ayana S. Hull.

It was on the evening of Wednesday September 10, 2014 when she was taken by surprise as the Rotary Club of Road Town which presented her with one of their prestigious awards for her contributions towards the literacy drive in the Territory.

President of the Club Mr Shan Mohamed had said at the occasion that the efforts of Ms Hull were of importance as he underscored her most recent plugs in going above and beyond to ensure that her most recent narrative ‘the Pentateuch’ gets into the hands of hundreds of children in the upper grades of schools across the Territory including the Sister Islands of Jost Van Dyke, Anegada and Virgin Gorda.

With religious education being a part of the school’s curriculum the newest book of the Territory now out is seen fitting to aid children to have a spiritual connection, something that is seen as being very degenerated today.

"The book fulfills two very important functions. Firstly, the book encourages students to read and learn in a very simplified way. Secondly, this book provides spiritual lessons that will keep you grounded and connected to God," Mr. Mohamed had noted.

Ms Hull and the Rotary family are not the only ones that have testified of the serious need for spiritual values among especially the youths of today. At almost every function this is being highlighted by leaders, communities and even grass-root who still see that the principles of the Bible can and will play a pivotal in pull youths back in place before it is too late.

OMG, how do you know she knew? So you call her dishonest, refer to the Rotary Club of Road Town as NDP, make a prediction on the her future and the NDp's and question why she was honored if she is not a Rotarian all in one go! We have it bad in this country. You seem to be wrong in a lot that you know. She was asked to guest speak at the meeting. That's why she was there but you might prefer to believe that it was a secret plot to get an award, lol. The BVI, I pray earnestly for us.

Let us stop putting down our own people. Big the girl up for the great job she is doing. I appreciate the work you doing to help the entire country learn and continue reading. Good job. I wonder if another race had done this if these comments would have been different.
