That is all these guys asking for, to make somebody sleep the police station over their nonsense. Out of 10 scooter riders, you can barely find 8 that follow the rules of the road. None don't learn from the next

It's only a matter of time before they put a ban on these scooters, the innocent will suffer for the guilty.

When the light yellow man does speed up before it red, when it red man flying like a private jet (some driver). In a collision I stand a better chance in car but these immortals on two wheels GOD bless em. My Grandmother say "who don't hear does feel" so I guess they will have to feel one by one. I hope that dude recovers well.

The more I read about social, and emotional disconnections within the BVI society the more I am concerned about the future of this country. What a mess.

I'm surprise lots more like this don't happened. These young riders reckless. Where are the cops? 8 out of 10 riders don't have helmets. On the other hand they moving so fast nothing a foot cop can do.. We need police mobile in town all day and night as a quick response mechanism.. Select a strategic location for parking. I will suggest by the round about to the back of vanterpool drug store..

Though we will have to await the findings as to whom was at fault, something has to be done about the number of accidents involving scooter riders. What will it take? From my experience, some scooter riders ride recklessly. Scooter riders bodies are exposed and no match for a 4000+ lb vehicle in motion. The vehicle will win. Further, car accidents can maim, disable and kill; they should be avoided at all cost. Unnecessary, car/motor vehicle accidents place a burden on the medical system. They bring pain, strain and financial burden on families. Solution?

Vehicle drivers drive defensively. Scooter riders ride responsibily with caution and obey the rules of the road---stay alive and in one piece. For a small dot of some 57 square miles, the BVI has too many accidents per capita. The number of accidents strains the medical system and increase cost and drives up auto and other insurance. Where are we rushing to on a small island?

Let's put away the electronic distractions (cell phones, tablets, iPad)while operating motor vehicles. Driving is inherently dangerous enough without the distractions. RVIPF and MCW team up and sponsor a public education and outreach programme on defensive driving. Let's stop the carnage. Let's learn from Prior fatal incidents and stay alive and healthy. Prior incidents should show our youth, the next generation, that they are not invincible. Save your Mothers the pain of WEEPING for you.

Scooter riders (let me rephrase) Young scooter riders are reckless, careless, and a danger to themselves. These daredevils always run through the red lights, dodge in and out of traffic, over-take on the left-hand side, and most times are uninsured. I don't know what is the process for granting a license to a scooter rider, but some form of education about traffic rules and road safety should be included. The penalty for violation should be confiscation of the scooter or jail them for endangering the lives of the public.
