Morning Ride Show fully reloaded - Gadiethz
One new initiative, this news site had the privilege of discussing with Mr. Peart , is a new segment that will be added to the show called “Sound bites”, that will be introduced on September 24, 2012.
According the host, at 8:15 every morning, the segment will be in effect, to discuss with the people, topics that not only relate primarily to the Virgin Islands, but with a more regional and international focus.
“We try to find something that can be on a larger level, that really impacts all of us, regionally and internationally, not just pertaining to the Virgin Islands, but sound bites will be something that if you drop it in the water, there will be a ripple, not only in the VI but regionally, and that’s where I’m trying to put it.”
He said in the past, the Morning Ride show was focused on ‘on the ground’ issues, but is now taking the next step.
“The show is geared and aiming for more… each time we take a seasonal break we always come back with more incentives for the listeners and our advertisers.”
Gadiethz stated that another initiative adopted for the show and to boost its credibility, is the efforts to have artists (globally) interact with the show. He added “we’ve been trying to affiliate our self where, the morning ride show is the pioneer doing outside broadcasts and local broadcasts with entertainers, because we are trying to fuse the market into one big industry and the Virgin Islands does have their fair share of talent.”
He disclosed that he is currently in contact with some of the region’s best DJs, so in the event of businesses wanting a full package of entertainment and advertisements, they can get the best.
Gadiethz further related that the Morning Ride Show is a show that gets its listeners up to an interactive level, a conscious level “the morning ride show tends to be out the box, and that’s why the creative minds out there will take full 100% go with us.”
In this new season, he continued, the show is equipped with new music, new ‘drops’… “The thing is just outside the box right now and the identity of the morning ride show has been placed in a good corner and we want to withstand that brand, and be the voice of the people. The morning ride show is the voice of the voiceless.”
He told this news site, that the show that has been in existence for the last 4 years every morning from Monday to Friday 7am-10am on Zrod, and it is a show that is not targeted to any specific group or class of people , it’s a show that speaks the truth and [discusses] what the people want to hear.
“It is a straight forward show, it carries no barriers, no boundaries, no class, no creed, it doesn’t mind if you’re with any specific party, any specific religion, nothing at all that is out there, is a boundary for the Morning Ride show, and that’s the common denominator that we hold to the people.”
Peart mentioned that although he returned to the show, on Monday, he already saw some ‘on the street’ topics, that the show will debate on; one being the verdict that was passed down on local Calypsonian Sistah Joyce of $40,000, after she was allegedly found with an uncontrolled drug.
“Regardless, people create wickeder crimes in the Virgin Islands and I don’t see how the system going to uphold $40,000 for marijuana, I think they should give her 40,000 to help finish her house for her kids… equal rights and justice, das wa we dey pon.”
He said the show will try to get in contact with Sistah Joyce or any members of her legal team to see how best they can “blow it out the water”, because it is a big injustice that took place.

When I think of the most annoying local radio "personalities" in the BVI they include Gadeitz, Neil, and Bertrum. - If they all came off the air I wouldnt have to listen to St.Croix stations
This young man is not one of us a BVIslander so who the hell is he trying to speak about our law in our country he should say thank god they didn't lock him up when he did the beach jam at the airport for the Jamaican guy who lost his both arms I think when he feel off the house roof working for Maria's by the sea and he took most of the funds he needs to talk about that, all he does is blah blah blah
Who gives a damn where the man is from? Is he good? Not always, but THANK GOD he isn't afraid to ask a few difficult questions and he aint all hidebound by this fear of speaking out.
The biggest censorship we have in the BVI is fear of going against a supposed BVIslander point of view. Of course it doesn't exist, but everyone trying to sound more ol' time than everyone else instead of embracing the present and the future with thought and intelligence.
Gadietz is smart enough to question everything, so we should appreciate him for that.
