‘Mitch’ promises change under PVIM come 2019
With elections on the horizon and campaign mode already started for the other main parties in the Virgin Islands (VI)—including the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) and the ruling NDP—Hon Turnbull in reflecting says he is thankful for the many blessing and mercies after the devastating hurricanes of 2017.
Thankful
“As the year is quickly coming to an end, I pause to take a moment to reflect on 2017 and 2018. I also take a minute to give God thanks and praise for His many blessings and mercies especially after the devastating storms of 2017,” Mr Turnbull said in a release via the Government Information Service.
“I also take a minute to remember persons and families in my district, their families and those in the wider Virgin Islands community who have lost loved ones during the past two years. I extend my sincerest sympathies and prayers for your continued strength and peace,” he said as part of his holiday message.
According to Mr Turnbull, his political career started with creating change and he plans to continue that change especially in District 2, which comprises of Meyers, Cane Garden Bay, Brewers Bay and Jost van Dyke.
Change coming
“In 2015, I was given the opportunity to serve this Territory to bring about change. My voice and my actions represented the change needed to put the Virgin Islands back on the right path, ensuring that the country is placed above self,” he said.
“Together we have begun a good work, we have made significant strides to accomplish the goals set and I will continue to do my best to move District 2 forward,” Hon Turnbull said as he runs under the PVIM.
Many political pundits, including former Leader of the Opposition, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) had questioned what change can come from a spin-off of the NDP Government.
“How credible would a by-product of the very sitting NDP Government, that has caused the pain and suffering of this Territory be in defending the people and opposing the Government?” Mr Fahie asked during a December 12, 2018, press conference at the studios of the Caribbean Broadcast Network (CBN).

Mouth with nonsense. Mitch, do your thing. Since everybody else have no fault but you, win or lose, We are proud of you. Now fight to win please. Maybe with this party you have a bit more control of what you want
