PENAL, T&T - A Penal father is pleading for assistance in locating his 16-year-old daughter who did not return home last Friday.

Brittney Thompson, a pupil of Penal Secondary School, told her parents she was going to a cyber café in Penal to complete a school assignment.

She was spotted walking along the Penal main road with a female classmate.

Her father, Brian Thompson, said his daughter may have been influenced to run away from home. And he is asking anyone with information to contact the police.

Thompson, a father of four, said, “She got dressed on Friday morning and told her mother she was going to a cyber café in Penal to complete her SBA to drop in school. She met her school friend there. My wife called her at 3p.m. and she said she was coming home. She called again at 5p.m. and Brittney said she was in Penal. Then the phone went dead.”

Thompson said his daughter is a bright student and had never left home without telling her mother where she was going.

He said the teenager and her friend were seen in a vehicle with two men – one from Penal and the other from Chaguanas.

A report was made at the Penal police station and the Anti-Kidnapping Unit was also contacted.
