ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- “Priceless.” One word sums up just how Constable Jeoverne S. Webb felt when she wowed the judges and the comfortable crowd at the Sir Briercliffe Hall in the early hours of Sunday April 2, 2017 on her way to be crowned Miss Regional Police.

Webb, who is the reigning Miss Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, swept awards for Most Poised, Photogenic, Best Introduction Speech, and Drill.

The First Runner-Up spot went to the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force contestant, Kemelia J. Boyd who received awards for best in Creative Wear, Evening Wear, Congeniality, and Talent.

Second runner up was taken by the Royal St Lucia Police Force contestant, Zamera Dean Frederick.

Other awards went to the contestant from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, Renika Isaac, who received the Commissioner’s award, and Trinidad and Tobago Police Service contender, Sascha W. Goodard who swept awards for Miss Intellect and Best Introduction Dance.

In addition, each received participatory gifts.

Hard work

Speaking to the media moments after being crowned by Commissioner of Police Michael Matthews, Webb said she expected success.

“To be honest, I put in a lot of work and hard work is what brings success, so I expected success,” she said.

Meantime first runner-up Boyd also spoke of hard work.

“It’s great, it’s awesome, it was very hard work! Leaving all the way from St Vincent and the Grenadines, I am honoured for the First Runner Up.”

The five competed for over four hours in Introduction, Drills, Creative Wear, Talent, Evening Wear and Question and Answer segments.

Entertainment was provided by Harmony and Reuben Fernandez.

The pageant was part of the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force.

Totally agree with 911, I was turned off with that damn casket, I think Ms. Antigua could have gotten her talent across without taking that casket to the stage, secondly what dose HIV has to do with Policing, apart from that I enjoyed every moment of it, could not wait for the results too much of procrastination. Dwaine Frett I enjoyed your performance, not forgetting all the others who performed, well done.
