Min. Fraser proposes road link for Sage Mountain

3rd District Rep. Julian Fraser is proposing an access road to link Sage Mountain to Pleasant Valley.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Among the plans for the 3rd District by incumbent district Representative Julian Fraser is to establish a road link between Pleasant Valley and Sage Mountain which he described as a much needed road-way to open the land between the two areas.

At a meeting last evening October 31, 2011 in Sage Mountain, Hon. Fraser told residents of the area that it is important for the access road to be put in place which is good for real estate there and is also the kind of development that will increase the value of their properties.

Minister Fraser said Sage Mountain is important, and one should not have to pass through the 2nd district to get to Sage Mountain but rather it should be accessible through the 3rd district which it is part of.

In addition, he said the next project for the area is the widening of the road in Sage Mountain, noting that “I don’t have to come back to you again and tell you that, because this is my mandate, when I come to you during this campaign, and I tell you this is what I am going to do, and you elect me, that is what you elect me to do”.

Regarding the overlaying of roads, he said the road from Meyers to the intersection area in Sage Mountain is the next area that will be overlay with black top. He told residents of the area that it will be done as soon as the contractor decides to go up to that area since it was to be done before but it may have been more convenient for him to complete the other areas first.
