McMaster to lead VI team to NACAC 2018

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The BVI Athletics Association (BVIAA) has announced its national team that will participate at the North America, Central America, and Caribbean (NACAC) Athletics Senior Championships, from August 10, 2018 to 12, 2018, in Toronto, Canada.

The announcement came by way of a public statement, dated August 3, 2018 and notes that, “with the recent success of the territory’s track and field athletes at the Central Caribbean and Caribbean (CAC) Games, in Baranquilla, Columbia, similar success is anticipated at the Championships which will include added competition from the United States of America and Canada.”

Team Members 

According to the statement, the Virgin Islands (VI) National team consists of Tahesia Harrigan-Scott (100m), Chantel E. Malone (Long jump) , Ashley Kelly (400m), Tynelle Gumbs (Hammer, disus), Trevia Gumbs (Discus, Shot put), Deya Erickson (100m Hurdles), Kala Penn (Long jump, Triple jump), Tarika Moses(400m), Eldred Henry (Shot put), Kyron A. McMaster (400m Hurdles) and Shaquoy Stephens (100m).

The team will be accompanied by officials Willis Todman, Cliff William and Shaun Williams.
