ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Matthew Darrel Hazell was today, July 20, 2016, granted bail in the sum of $200,000, of which $40, 000 must be paid in cash.
Hazell appeared in the High Court earlier today in a 2nd bid to enjoy life away from her Majesty’s Prison in Balsam Ghut, pending his trial now set for September 2016.
He was also ordered to be at the home of his mother between the hours of 6:00 P.M and 6:00 A.M. and to report to the Road Town Police Station every day (Mondays to Fridays).
Hazell was charged with attempted murder and unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition in relation to an attempted robbery in the vicinity of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank on February 16, 2015.
