BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI – A lone gunman on Friday July 27, 2018, robbed a ‘Sports Wagering Company,’ located inside a popular Baughers Bay Bar. (Both businesses are located in the same building)

The masked man—described by eyewitnesses as ‘light skinned’—sometime around 1:00 PM, walked into the business and demanded the cash.

It’s unclear, if he walked away with any money, however the bar itself was not robbed, contrary to separate media reports.

The masked bandit, according to eyewitnesses, ran across the street after the incident and escaped into the Baughers Bay area.

Police are tight lipped on the matter and there are conflicting reports as to whether the incident was even reported.

Coming a few days after

The incident comes a few days after another armed robbery last Sunday July 22, 2018, when a masked man walked in Paradise Bar, located in Cane Garden Bay around 11:00 PM and demanded cash.

It was reported that the man robbed the bar of an undisclosed sum of cash and there were at least three gunshots fired in the air.

There were no injuries reported during that incident.
