Mapp Vs Bryan: 2,000+ early ballots in USVI elections
CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI: Early voting numbers in the territory have been strong, according to data provided by the Election System of the Virgin Islands, with over 2,000 citizens casting their ballots early as of October 17.
According to the Election System, as of Wednesday, 1,358 Virgin Islanders had voted early in St. Thomas, while 987 voted early on St. Croix, bringing the total to 2,345.
Early voting will begin on St. John on Saturday.
“Voting is the expression of our commitment to ourselves, one another and this world,” Supervisor of Elections Caroline Fawkes said.
To vote early on St. Croix, head to the Election System office in the Sunny Isle Annex across from the WAPA building. On St. Thomas, early voting takes place at the Election System office in Lockhart Gardens upstairs Banco Popular. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
