Man who tried to outrun police held with cocaine & ‘ganja’

- suspect had reportedly attempted to evade stop & search operation

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Following a brief foot chase with police, a man was arrested after illegal drugs were reportedly found in his possession in Road Town, Tortola, on Saturday, June 13, 2020.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, police had noticed the man evading a routine traffic stop and search operation along Paul P. Whatley Road.

Police proceeded to give chase; however, the man exited the vehicle with a backpack and attempted to flee on foot.

He was reportedly caught shortly after by a rank that pursued on foot, but not before the man allegedly threw the backpack over a wall.

A search of the backpack reportedly revealed a quantity of marijuana (ganja) and cocaine.

      Maybe if we had white Cops it would have been different....U kno most of them see black people as animals .. Shooting the Animal would hsve been better than wasting time and energy chasing....

      bong why you saying that it should remain illegal? for me it should remain illegal reason being if it becomes legal the small ganga farm will have to compete against the big pharmaceutical companies that will offer a variety of flavors ,so its better for the farmer man it remains illegal with the risk comes the reward.
