Man shot dead in St Thomas community centre

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI — Following a report from the 911 emergency call centre of gunfire in Contant Knolls at about 11:45 p.m. last night December 10, 2015, responding officers found a young man unresponsive in a nearby community centre, VIPD Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced this morning.

Ms Freeman said emergency technicians were summoned to the scene and discerned no vital signs of life after their examinations. The victim, police say, suffered a single gunshot wound to the upper torso.

He has been identified as 23-year-old Kadeem John, a resident of Contant Knolls.

Police are asking anyone with information about the homicide to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 340-642-8449, 911 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.

    Gun laws in USA won't work any better than they do in USVI & BVI!! When there are laws, only the criminals will have guns and yes, they will have them. Also note: Big mass killing in San B. , Calif., done with guns. The laws Obama wants for entire USA were/are in place in Calif. Didn't help did it?
