ESTATE BOVONI, St Thomas, USVI - A man was shot to death in the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Estate Bovoni in the US Virgin Islands (USVI), V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced.

According to Mr. Dratte, at approximately 1:56 a.m. Tuesday, officers from the V.I.P.D.’s Major Crimes Unit were dispatched to the Bovoni Housing Community, at Building B, for discharging of shots and reports of a man sustaining gunshot wounds.

Multiple gunshot wounds 

Upon officers’ arrival to the location, they met an unresponsive black male lying on the ground near Building B with multiple gunshot wounds about his body, according to Mr. Dratte.

The deceased, identified by next of kin as 29-year-old Harim Prince, was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center morgue by an attendant.

As of Saturday, the case was under investigation, Mr. Dratte said. The V.I.P.D. is asking anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the person or persons involved, to contact the local Criminal Investigation Bureau or call 911.
