LITTLE HARBOUR, Jost Van Dyke, VI – Information reaching this news site from our Team of Reporters on Jost Van Dyke is that well known resident, Daniel 'Not Nice' Richards, reportedly drowned in waters off Little Harbour this evening, June 14, 2015.

According to a very close friend of the man, sometime after 7:00pm Richards went out to “check on his boat” but never returned to shore alive. His body has already been recovered, sources have confirmed.

It is not yet clear how the man ended up in the water.

Richards, who was born in St Kitts, lived in the Virgin Islands for many years and was well known.

Efforts so far to get a comment from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) and Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) have not been successful.

Virgin Islands News Online will bring you more details as they come in.

So so sad. Sometimes when one goes on task like these walking with a partner or family member to assist or on the lookout in case of emergency is a good way to go.My sympathy to his family and may your soul rest in peace.

These kinds of stories need to be properly investigated, sounds rather fishy, according to the story here “he went to his boat after 7.00 pm”, who else was in the water or on the boat with him? You’ll drown the man. Be reminded that God do not sleep, he sees every thing that is happening under the sun, and he will judge us accordingly. My condolences to his family, R.I.P.
