ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A driver of an SUV was rushed to hospital after his vehicle toppled in an accident near Peebles Hospital today, August 11, 2016.

The accident, which occurred sometime after 3:00 P.M. at the corner of Hospital Road and Waterfront Drive, also involved a rental car, which seemed to have incurred minimal damage.

It is not clear what were the circumstances surrounding the accident, however, the SUV, with number plate PJ 562, ended up on its left side.

The driver of the SUV was quickly taken to hospital while the driver of the rental car was seemingly unscathed.

Police are on the scene conducting their investigations and directing traffic.

      They were always known to have a high roll over risk. Got them banned in the US donkey's years ago

      Two ambulances were on the scene in record time. Took quite a while for the police to make an appearance though.
