Man flung from parked truck in scary late night smash-up
According to Mr Hodge, it all happened in a flash as he had parked his vehicle to retrieve something that had blown off his truck. "I was in the back of the pick-up, I wasn't in the driver's seat, my vehicle was parked. So when the other vehicle turned the corner, I guess he didn't realise my vehicle was there and he hit it and throw me out the truck because I was actually in the bed of the truck to the back," explained Mr Hodge.
He further explained, "The bed cover of the truck had flown off and I had turned back to look for it," Mr Hodge said.
This news site understands that while Mr Hodge's truck, a red Nissan Frontier #610, was damaged he was able to drive off but that couldn't be said of the other vehicle which was said to have sustained extensive damages to the frontal sections.
Hodge said he is yet to be medically examined to ensure no serious or hidden injuries have occurred.
According to this news site’s information, the driver of the other vehicle escaped without injuries.
The two involved are to report to the Road Town Police station sometime today to give official statements to allow further investigations and other actions to proceed.

This is why you should never park around a corner.
I have remained quiet for a long time and want to keep it that way.
