ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A man was whisked away for medical treatment after collapsing in the vicinity of the Digicel flagship store in Road Town earlier today, April 11, 2014.

Reports indicate that the man, believed to be a tourist, fell somewhere outside of the store and suffered an injury that required medical attention. Paramedics as well as Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) were called into action after the incident.

While details of the incident remain sketchy, one eyewitness disclosed that the man was not seriously injured as a result of the fall.

Efforts made to determine the full extent of the man’s injury were unsuccessful up to post time.

Ultimately, the man was assisted by several police officers and taken for medical treatment in a waiting police vehicle as it was determined that the ambulance was no longer needed to transport him.

    Happy the man was not seriously injured. Just looking at the picture reminded me that I asked Digicel to put a hand railing there on the steps so people can steady themselves especially when it rains. I am not saying the man fell there, the picture just reminded me of that and with all Digicel's promotions you would think they would consider their customers first.
