    If the cops used the taser or shot the knife wielding gentleman who had his baby momma in turmoil, if the public would say its police brutality or excessive force. and the story says he also pushed a police officer

          @Gram Puba:

          If he was hanged in 1972 how is it possible for him to be found guilty last October.

        Not island man alone stab and chop their women. The last man to be hanged in HM Prison in 1972 was an indigenous Chalwell from the eastern end of Tortola

          It is interesting that you cited a case from way back in 1972. I guess it proves the point that it is not an act that Virgin Islanders would commonly engage in or you would have cited more recent cases.

      He is a lucky man. Outside the BVI, he lay a hand on a police officer, they would have gun him down. And he had a knife to?

    While that is true about the Chalwell in 1972. I think most heinous crimes of that nature where women a brutally murdered are committed by non virgin and Islanders. You non Virgin Islanders are always quick to compare . What you fail to realize is that the “Chalwell “ committed that murder in his native land. You Islanders come here and commit these heinous crimes. I am not condoning what he said but only really clarifying “woww’s. Point. He or she is right when they say “ These Island people have history of stabbing and chopping up them woman“. 99.9 % of these heinous crimes are committed by non Virgin Islanders. I can name a few but won’t out of respect for the families of the Victims.

      Referencing an incident that occurred some half century ago is a tad desperste. Any that you can recall prior to that or subsequent,.,,? Was the victim from updeislun...hmmm?
      Compare that to up/ down i island daily murders to the lowest level. U guys need to go crawl into a hole and hide your faces but shame,conscience and morality is non existent. That is the issue. Normal behaviour for u people. Tolians are touted as being stupid for not behaving like cannibals. U guys just dont get it...Wake up!!!! There is a reason why your naturally rich and gifted country is unable to progress and why you dont want to be there. Cursed bad!!

    Talking about a one time incident since 1972 does not qualify the point that virgin islander men commit these crimes regularly . First point is this, it was one virgin islander meaning ONE MAN from the bvi did such a crime. The men of the virgin islands don't have a history of stabbing there women. They might threaten or abuse but we don't hear about stabbings. It is all wrong ither way but there is no need to be offended over truth. I am not from here and I would have never known of the 1972 incident if it was not brought up. But looking at it at this at face VALUE, can't we all agree that majority of these incidents of stabbing a girlfriend is by expats?

    Isn't that same Basino from Jost Van Dyke who murdered Harris Jones at little harbor in Jost Van Dyke in the early 90's ? And yes I remembered when a Tolian man chase his woman at the Road Town Police station and chop off her hand clean cut. And former Police Officer knight put the hand in ice and they rush her to PR for surgery
