Man beats wife for sending nude photo to another man
The couple has been married for some 23 years.
Yesterday in the Magistrate's Court, the charges read against Antoine were causing actual bodily harm, criminal damage and attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle.
The court heard that the problem started after the man confronted his wife inquiring of her if she had taken a naked photograph of herself and sending it to another man. She was reportedly not without her undies.
Initially, the wife reportedly denied but subsequently admitted to having taken the photo using the phone of a friend. She, however, denied ever sending the photo to any man. This was allegedly not accepted by her husband who on September 30, 2016 insisted that she did take the photos and did send it to a man who was not him.
This confrontation allegedly took place at the couple's Diamond Estate home on the day in question.

Reading the facts in the case, the prosecution told the court that when the accused had asked his wife if she had sent the photo to a man she blurted out expletives at him using the 'F' word and with that he became enraged and attacked her.
As the drama prolonged between the two he allegedly beat her about the body using his hands, pelted her in the face with a half bottle of water which hit her in an eye, barred her from leaving the home as she attempted to do so, and crushed her phone with his hands before throwing it into a wall.
The two allegedly fought intensely in the presence of a friend of the victim and the couple’s children who all intervened at some point. Their 8 year old son had reportedly appealed to his dad to stop beating his mother.
Antoine allegedly confessed to police that he had indeed hit his wife as he flipped when she used the 'f' word at him. He said he did hit her with his hand and a slippers.
The defendant was placed on $60,000 bail, ordered to attend the Partnership for Peace Programme and instructed not to harass or be in contact with his wife. He is expected back in court on December 9, 2016.

The man is wrong for not keeping his calm but is not everyone could control their emotions after being married for 23 years. Its not an easy road. I hope the judge will go easy on him.
She is a disgrace to her family.
