Man arrested for allegedly ‘beating up’ companion in vehicle

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A Caucasian female was crouched on the sidewalk last evening, Monday February 13, 2012, between the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) and UP’s Cineplex, screaming while her companion was whisked away by police for allegedly hitting her in the vehicle they were in.

Virgin Islands News Online was on the scene around 6:50 p.m., where the dreadlocked man offered a bit of resistance before taken to the Road Town Police station.

According to information sought by this news agency, the man whose name was not revealed, left the parked vehicle after getting into an altercation with companion. However, when he returned to the vehicle he was met by the officers.

The woman was escorted by a female officer to the either Police Station.

Furthermore, the vehicle the couple was in was also towed.
