ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Our roving cameras caught up with popular and controversial radio personality Mr Paul A. Peart aka ‘Gadiethz’, who is back in the Territory.

Mr Peart, a Jamaica national, is a well-known personality in the Virgin Islands (VI). Following hurricanes Irma and Maria that destroyed the islands, he was one of many that fled the main island of Tortola to look for a better way of life for himself and his son.

He was well known for his ZROD 103.7 FM International Morning Ride Show. Since moving to the United States of America, Mr Peart continued with an online radio show, Fresh Radio Vybz, and continued to capture many headlines by interviewing the movers and shakers in the VI, including politicians both locally and regionally, the clergy, businessmen and women and political aspirants.

What’s next for Paul?

Mr Peart reportedly arrived in the Virgin Islands on January 30, 2018.

It is unclear, with his former apartment roofless and place of employment ZROD still off the air, what his intentions are.

There were also reports that Mr Peart, who has lived in the VI for over 17 years, was involved in post hurricanes looting; however, he vigorously denied those allegations in an exclusive interview with our newsroom on November 9, 2017.

In order to survive in America you have to have thick skin. Been here in America over 30 years. Seen many Island people ran back home because they could not hack it.

we need to put aside the past the Lord has forgotten our past we need to do so and move on.So let us forgive Mr Peart; the minister responsible for the school wall and any other persons and move into the future with a rebranded BVI. BVI will rise again and many will return to help in the recovery process.

I applaud those who were not from here who stayed here to help rebuild when they had opportunity to leave. But it was disturbing to see politicians on this mans show and dont worry our political leaders who was on his show will make sure he is taking care of. Something is very wrong with the moral and ethical compass of this country starting with some of us who should be providing leadership.

The BVI is a small, unique and addictive place that not even a historic flood or a series of catastrophic hurricanes can keep people away even when they try to run way. America is an equalizer and a nation of 320,000,000 where one has to fight fiercely for attention. On the other hand, the BVI is a nation (well a territory) of barely 30,000 where gossip and malay are a national past time. One can gain attention easily and quickly. Ok, come to the BVI, make your contribution and stop the comparison of every where is nice relative to the BVI. It makes those that call BVI home rawtidd. . Respect the place.

There is absolutely no reason why this fool should be allowed back in this country, where there is smoke, there is fire but this says a lot about our society and our systems. Sounds like we can not find a Bvi islander who is brave and willing to step up. Where there is a void it will be filled.
