However, they will not be doing it alone, as we learnt from Digicel’s Marketing Public Relations Executive, Digicel (BVI) Limited Jasmine A. Perez.

Unveiling the massive plans of spreading the Christmas Cheers this year, Ms Perez told this news site today November 14, 2014 that they have decided to follow their heart to coin an initiative this year that would see a grand coming together of corporate entities uniting as one to brighten Christmas for customers.

“In this Territory we are one people and we in the business sector are no different. With this promotion this year it shows how we can collaborate to make the people who depend on us happy. We led the initiative and we are so happy and overwhelmed that the businesses share the same sentiments as us and have forthwith hopped on to the bandwagon,” said Ms Perez in a comment to this news site.

In a press release Digicel outlined the activities for the partnership Christmas promotion. “In partnership with local businesses Digicel is making this Christmas extraordinary with over 5,000 winners this holiday season in the biggest promotion ever seen in the BVI," it said.

Digicel said that beginning Friday 14th November one Digicel customer will win $1,000 cash every day while another 1,000 Digicel customers will be rewarded each week with different prizes including smartphones, data plans, top up and supermarket vouchers.

"It’s so easy to win! Prepaid customers just have to top-up $15 or more every day or activate a 4G Mobile data plan to be in with a chance, and the more often they top up, the more prizes they can win! Plus Digicel’s prepaid customers also get free calls for three days to their favourite Digicel number every time they top up $15 or more!," the release said.

It noted that Digicel’s postpaid customers will qualify by paying their bill in full and on time and then they are entered into every daily draw to win cash and prizes. "So it pays to pay your bill as early as possible this Christmas to be in with a chance to win every day!" the release said.

The release said that Digicel is also bringing the Christmas spirit across the Territory with their famous roadshows visiting 5 locations over 5 weeks. "At each roadshow Digicel customers can access Digicel’s Prize Vault in order to grab their share of over $3,000 in cash and prizes. The first roadshow is in Huntum’s Ghut on Friday 14thNovember and after visiting East End, Pasea and Virgin Gorda the finale will take place at Digicel’s flagship store on Friday 19th December [2014]," the release said.

The release said that in launching this year’s Christmas promotion Conor Looney, CEO of Digicel BVI confirmed that, “Everyone’s a winner, every day, with Digicel but this Christmas promotion is something special. We have created the best opportunity ever for you to win."

According to the release, Looney said that over these 5 weeks it will reward over 5,000 Digicel customers with $100,000 in cash and prizes. "It is the biggest promotion ever in the BVI and is another way we give back to our customers to ensure their Christmas is an extraordinary one,” Looney said.
