VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Katrina Lindsay made it back to back wins for women in the Dive BVI 5K Series on Virgin Gorda on Saturday February 18, 2017 to take an unassailable lead in the 3-race series.

2016 Female Road Race Athlete of the Year, Rosmond Johnson made the journey over to Virgin Gorda for her first race of the year but offered no challenge to Lindsay.

Meanwhile, defending champion Reuben Stoby took the victory in the men’s race to level the series and set up a possible battle with Vincent Fournier in the final race on March 18, 2017.

Stoby, the course record holder, broke away from Julius Farley and Harsh Banthia after the first mile and ran unchallenged thereafter, finishing in 18:58.

“Just happy that I wasn’t made to work too hard for this win as I have been struggling with the flu all week. Looking forward to the final race. Hope Vincent shows up so we can chase that course record of 18:18,” Stoby said.

Full race results will be published when they are available.

I am approaching sixty, I was a recreational runner for thirty five years when I began to focus on body building. I now lift weights three to four times a week. During all those years, I am still hot to trot for my wife, any time, any place.
