ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- You can never be too big a ‘kid’ to have some ice-cream and snow cones as was proven by students of the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) who flocked the Snowie and La Dolce Vita mobiles to get their serving of ice-cream when LIME (BVI) took its Back to School Bliss to them on Friday September 13, 2013.

More than one thousand (1000) students lined up patiently to be served their ice-cream or snow cones.

“We are happy to partner with local businesses Snowie and La Dolce Vita. We like to be able to connect our brand with other good brands in the community,” commented Managing Director of LIME (BVI), Mr Sean Auguste.

Meanwhile, LIME also had some assistance in dealing with the large number of eager students as some heads of department were on hand to hand out tickets and to keep general order. Those persons included Pat Blaize- Adams and Shavoun Hodge.

“The students and teachers responded positively. In some cases people had to leave to catch buses and we are sorry they could not be served, but those who were able to wait enjoyed the many flavours of ice cream and snow cones,” said Head of Department for Marketing and Corporate Communications BVI and TCI, Mr Kareem-Nelson Hull.

LIME expressed thanks to the Minister for Education and Culture, Hon. Myron V. Walwyn who it said didn't think twice when it presented this free deal. “Also, thanks to Mr [Wade W.] Tobin who was happy that his students would get this treat. He was also very keen that his teachers were not left out and we assured him that they would not be,” Mr Hull continued.

Teachers had separated lines at each vendor. They were served personally and only teachers could get waffle cones and multiple scoops of ice cream from La Dolce Vita and Snowie had a VIP door for teachers who wanted snow cones.

“This is just the beginning of things we will do at the high school. Already we power the library and with Government's guidance we look forward to being able to provide other free tools that actually enhance the learning experience,” Mr Auguste concluded.

LIME shame on you! The BVI is not immune to the growing obesity problem. The BVI lunch program along with schools all over the U.S. have already introduced healthy lunches for all school age children. The
Governor of New York wants to ban big drinks due to the amount of sugar content. This Marketing strategy is a bust and the money you are wasting can be spent by putting staff into your retail store. Out of the 3 Providers, your customer service is by far the worst.

One word! Corporate greed. At a time when we should be encouraging healthy meals for school age children we are busy doing other things. What about demanding that the vendors at school serve a balanced meal with healthy choices for our young people. What about banning transfat and other harmful products from being sold at our schools.

Nay sayers, it is only but a small treat. With the high ice cream prices at the supermarkets it was probably their first taste of ice cream for the year. The way you all carrying on is like they are having it every day. Good going Team LIME.

Too much of anything isn't good… Point Blank! I commend both Mr. George (Snowie) and Lime B.V.I. on their collaboration. There is nothing wrong with having a sweet treat and as for telecommunication real competition is needed. CCT step your game up for the sake of your loyalllll customers!!!!
