GREENLAND, Tortola, VI - As the LIME Superfast T20 League continued on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2016, at Greenland Recreation Ground in East End/Long Look on the main island of Tortola, both Under the Tree and Grenada CC recorded wins in their respective divisions.

In Division One, Under the Tree beat Wolues by 10 wickets.

Batting first, Wolues comfortably reached 46 without loss as Jadid Khan (19) and Vance Lewis (17) blunted the Under the Tree bowlers. However, the introduction of Travis Jack began a cascade of wickets. He finished with 3 for 7, removing both openers on the way and from there on in only Daniel Singh (34) and Jerome Pereira (17) offered any resistance.

Rudolph Davis picked up 2 for 23 and Colin Olivierre 2 for 24 to conclude the innings.

In reply, Wolues tried everything they could to restrict Under the Tree batsman, Olivierre and Kevin Thompson and saw several chances go abegging, before the pair picked off the runs for a comfortable victory.

Olivierre finished unbeaten on 59 with 4 sixes and 7 fours, whilst Thompson was unbeaten on 46 also with 4 sixes and 3 fours.

Redhead slams 94 as Grenada CC beat Cavaliers

In the Premier Division, Grenada CC romped to a 76 run win over the highly fancied Cavaliers.

Having won the toss, Derol Redhead opted to bat first and led from the front with a well constructed 94 that included 6 sixes and 13 fours as he and Raymond Charles (28) put on 112 for the 3rd wicket. Bryan Daley also added a useful 30 as last year’s LIME Champions posted 209 for 5.

Christanand Dhanpaul, Aaron Baker, Mohammed Hasan, Vishal Bharat and Jagnarine Persaud all picked up a wicket each.

Despite the loss of wickets at regular intervals, Cavaliers kept up with the required run rate until Bharat fell for 49. Teddy Nankishore scored 26 and Baker 23 at the top of the innings, but with Francis Kitason picking up 4 for 41, Trent Belfon 2 for 25 and Rodney Marryshow 2 for 40, the victory for Grenada was reached inside 15 overs.

Next Sunday, February 21, 2016, Vincy CC will take on Royal Knights at 10.00am, whilst at 2.00pm, Virgin Gorda will face Road Town Wholesale.
