LIME shares surprise Xmas cheers at Road Town Clinic
It was the start of LIME's "Share the Cheer" Christmas promotion which, according to Head of Department of Marketing and Corporate Communications BVI and TCI Mr Kareem-Nelson Hull, will see hundreds across the territory benefitting from more than just deals but also gifts.
Nurse Cherry-Ann George was among the first to receive a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tablets compliments of LIME. The gift to Ms George was a surprise appreciation bestowed on her by LIME but was recommended by her colleagues.
All members of staff were given gift hampers and one hundred visitors to the clinic for the day were all fed and given a special gift from LIME. On hand to "Share the Cheers" was General Manager of LIME BVI, Mr Sean Auguste, Hull and other key staff members.
Virgin Islands News Online was also present to capture the moment of surprise.
The clinic also received two phones as donations for its staff and customers' raffles.
In a press release circulate today by LIME, it was stated that some 60 Samsung Galaxy Tablets will be given away as part of the campaign as well as other prizes. One Tablet was already given to the Elmore Stoutt High School to aid with a fund raising raffle held as part of the school's fair on Thursday December 12.
"Already prizes have been delivered to the Adina Donovan Home for a staff-only lucky dip and children attending the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force's Annual Children's Christmas Party will receive gifts in LIME-branded bags and two lucky children will walk away with phones, one being the increasingly-popular Alcatel T-Pop," stated the release.
LIME's Share the Cheer campaign will continue into January 2014. Pre-paid customers only need to Top Up their phones while post-paid customers who pay their bill on time or in full are automatically entered to win a Tablet.
Already 12 persons have been selected for the Tablets and will be surprised from Monday December 16 when they are announced as winners. Selections are done at random by a computer system.
"It's very exciting knowing that people will be surprised and hopefully thankful for these small blessings at Christmas time. 2013 hasn't been easy for everyone, but at Christmas you at least hope to bring joy to our deserving customers in this way," said Sean Auguste, General Manager at LIME.
LIME says it is also reserving some surprises for the season, but are encouraging customers to pay attention to its on-line presence on Facebook and texts messages as new ways to win prizes will be added daily.
LIME also encourages the entire Virgin Islands to find some way of bringing cheers to others during the holiday season. "Sharing is a Caribbean way of life and we must take every opportunity to show and share love when we can," added Mr Auguste.
