ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – LIME BVI today October 1, 2014 announced that there will now be one simple flat rate prepaid plan for the Virgin Islands. The simplified, flat rate plan takes effect today.

“We do not want our customers to have to worry about when to call and how long to talk for,” said Kareem-Nelson Hull, Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications for LIME in a comment to Virgin Islands News Online today.

“We have made it easier and in many cases cheaper to talk longer. Our customers have all been notified and today they will begin to feel the effects of the flat rate,” he said. “We're now looking forward to working on the postpaid plans and the rates on international calls,” Hull said.

LIME General Manager Sean Auguste in a press release said, “As the number one mobile network in British Virgin Islands, LIME is committed to delivering the experience our pre-paid customers want and expect from their service provider.”

“At LIME, we continue to listen and remain responsive to the needs of our consumers. Our consumers have asked for a simplified flat rate and LIME, the company that continues to innovate, has responded positively. We declared that this would be the year of LIME and we’re proving that each day,” said Auguste.

The release said that with the, affordable, flat rate plan, pre-paid consumers will no longer have to schedule their calls for specific off peak times.

“There will be no differentiation between weekend, week day, peak and off hour rates. Calls can be made at any time to any network and the rate will be the same. This therefore eliminates the need for consumers to carry two handsets to get better deals on rates,” the company said.

LIME said that it now offers customers one simple and transparent plan with no hidden fees.

Cell phones are all LIME cares about now. Why do we even bother with land lines. THey having a chance to win money off of tapping up cell phones. IN ten years, my land line was never disconnected and now I get horrible bills. Will soon get rid of this land line.

The money winning was for either paying your phone bill on time and in full and also topping up. Not solely topping up.

I done worry till my hair fall out. How come for the past few months the rates have tripled? I didn't realize customers had to help pay out the $60 thousand grand. Time is getting real hard some of us struggling some have inheritance please consider not everyone can take the pressure. Try working something reasonable out for your customers.

Lime is unfair, it appears they don't consider the customers who's credit are debited when they are giving away prices

Where is TRC? Cct now think when you sign a contract with them that automatically makes them your accountant. Choosing your plans for you without your consent and don’t even have the smarts or courtesy to send you a letter or notice about their intentions. I signed up for a plan about 2 years ago now to my surprise I get a bill last month showing me a breach of everything that I put my signature on. All the talk about improving customer service and Cct think its a good move to seemingly cancel an existing plan, put customers on another plan without informing them and actually billing you according to the new plan that you the customer did not approve or know about. Only in the BVI. No wonder my partner jump off that sinking ship.

Exactly! It is getting ridiculous. Thinking of switching networks because of it.
