LONDON, United Kingdom- Virgin Islands professional basketball player Leslee J. Smith will be continuing in the British Basketball League (BBL), having recently signed with Plymouth Raiders.

The 6’ 7” forward, Smith, represented Momentum in the 2019 Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed National Basketball League.

Smith’s handlers, Tropical Sports Agency, announced the signing on its Facebook page on December 30, 2019.

“Leslee Smith out of @huskerhoops Is the newest member of our family. We are excited to work with Leslee and assist him to get his career back on track to the promised it showed. He has been working extremely hard to make sure this happens in short order.”

Early in September, Tropical Sports Agency had revealed it was working with Smith to propel his professional career.

Smith made his debut in the British Basketball League with Bristol Flyers, who he played for from 2016 to 2018. He then moved to the Sheffield Sharks for the 2018-2019 season.

The Virgin Islander will have a tall task with Plymouth Raiders, as the team is currently joint bottom of the table in the 2019/20 season with Manchester Giants.
